dragonhound's entry is the closest to the real thing. the only thing i would change is make artemis' toga WHITE!!!! DUH!!!!! OM*FRIGGIN*G! Artemis wont touch any other color, no matter what. her rooms are also completely white. if she wore anything else out in 9000 B.C., she would no longer be the VIRGIN GODDESS!! with or w/out Ash's "interference!!!"

Warning!! Brutal opinions to follow:

raonaid's pencil work didn't make enough use of varying pressure, mixed color tones and unfortunately, in my opinion, falls flat at "plain".

dragonhound used primarily flat digital coloring, with minimal amounts of shading, giving what feels like a rushed job and something which could have looked better if more time were put into the shading and color variation.

milinkowolf wasn't hindered by mundanely filling color in around the pen lines, and appears to have taken the initiative to overlay areas, not to mention the thorough attention to shading, contrast and consistent light angles; the fine highlighting detail on the black coat is especially noteworthy, in terms of effort and attention to detail.

It is therefore of my honest, brutal and neutral opinion that Milinkowolf put forth the most noteworthy effort, time and skill, with dragonhound coming up afterwards with a fairly average digital submission, followed lastly by quite plain pencil work by raonaid .

Yes, they are all good works of art but, with MilinkoWolf's, the color of Simi's hair isn't even right and Airtimes' hair looks more orange then red. I think the pencil color that some don't like is the best. The colors feel right for the series and Simi's hair acutely matches Acheron's like it's suppose to. The use of the computer, although well done, just don't seem to fit and almost seems fake to me. Where as the color pencil I think adds a bit more life to the picture. Over all they all did good but I still say the one by Raonaid is the best.

dragonhound never read the series so she wouldn't know.

Have you even read the Dark Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon, because the contest is about that, not so much as artistic skills. Rao's image remains truthest to the novels, not to mention you're choice was fairly biased as you personally know Milinkwolf; as Anime stated, her coloring was off.
